When to Shutter and when not to Shutter | Catherine Arensberg
If your house was built after the 1960's, odds are your house came with shutters whether or not it made any sense whatsoever with the style of your windows. It's like whoever designed houses back all owned stock in a shutter factory. And not working shutters, no. Shutters that just nail directly to the house without any hope of ever covering a window in the event of what a shutter is actually intended to be used for. Despite what most people thing, shutters aren't earrings for your windows. They are there to COVER THE GLASS OF A WINDOW IN THE EVENT OF A STORM TO PROTECT THE WINDOW FROM FLYING DEBRIS. Can you tell it bugs me?
