Empty Houses are left to Rot by owners who don't pay taxes for years, yet the city won't foreclose. These houses remain vacant with NO upkeep and no incentive to take care of them. Many homes are historic and will be lost. People who are willing to fix them up and help the community cannot do so because the owners have no reason to sell for any reasonable price since they literally have NO liability in the property. The city will NOT collect any fees or taxes, NOR will they foreclose to end further blight.
Yeah, it's sad and infuriating.
