I began my business in the Spring of 2020. My first project was for a couple who had just purchased a stunner 1870 Gothic Revival Home in Southeast Georgia. They took a chance on me and I with them. Unfortunately after work had began and I started restoring the windows on the first floor, a storm came into town in mid July and lightning struck a neighboring tree and it quickly started a fire on the side of the second floor of the house. The fire quickly spread and the home was a complete loss. I thought things were over as quickly as they had begun but several folks reached out and helped me recover and donated what they could. With that community support, I knew this was the career for me.
I have worked on several hundred windows now and continue to hone my skills and expand my business.
In April of 2023 I moved into a brand new 1,500sqft shop in my hometown. I am gearing up for several exciting projects.
No window is too far gone to save. Replacements are a trap. Do your research and talk to experts before you make any decisions about your historic windows. Most of us are small companies and booked several months out but I can assure you, it is worth waiting for.
